We had a great day even though the biggest storm was coming. It was very windy but we were able to harvest and re plant some of the gardens, continue to clear the Nature Trail and have a good clean up around the school after winter.

On 28 May we had our second Green Day. We were all very excited to plant our gardens with winter vegetables. The Junior classes all have new gardens. All the green waste from the nature trail has been removed. The feijoa trees have been fertilised.
Friday 19 March was our first Green Day. The whole school went out to work on our Nature Trail. We cleared out all the rubbish, took away all the green waste and removed as much privet as we could. We did not do any planting because the ground is too dry.

The compost is ready to put on the garden. A lot of our fruit and vegetable scraps have been going into the compost. We are now digging it out and putting it on Mr King's garden. We have discovered lots of worms and a few spiders as well.
